"Opening in 3,002 theaters, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen could open with about $22M this weekend."

The Guru has been doing a great job as of late predicting the box office...

17M - 24.9 for +145 LOOKS PRETTY DAMN GOOD. I'M PUTTING A $100 ON THIS BRACKET.

A smart bet.

I know. I read it after I placed my post. Maybe he is right? He was the only one who got T3 right. League of Extraordinary Gents. could be a surprise hit. Over 25 million is a long shot... but maybe not too far off... for +350 laying $10 to get back $45 woudn't hurt. Along with my last bet, of course. $100 on 17-24 and $10 on 25 or more for +350

I'm serious... CHECK OUT THE NEW TRAILER... it looks cool!!!! My little cousin and his friends are pumped up about this film.

I took 10-17. Good luck. You'd think it would make over 17 but no one at the HSX seems to think it has a chance. Who knows. Piramid Hefeweizen is the shit Gil, with a twist of lemon Canadian beer can'r realy compete with a pint of that shiz.

I'm taking the under. While I'm at it, I'm also going to take Kill Bill -2 million over Seatriskit. I just don't see how a horseracing movie can make over 10 million, and Kill Bill is a lock for 12 million as far as I'm concerned.

But I'm going to get the

on this damn Pirates under unless all of the Pirate fetishists rushed out tonight to jerk it to Depp/Bloom pirate role-playing pirate man on man action and these crowd reports just mean it's front-loaded like Pamela Anderson after her first surgery. Doesn't look good, though, it sounds like it made a TON of cash today.

To be honest... Pirates of the Caribbean looks f__king stupid. I wouldn't bother wasting money on it. No way. I'd rather waste money on beer. LOL. Hey, Oren, do you have Drive-In theaters where you live? At the drive-in you get 2 for 1... or in my case... 3 for 1.

I haven't seen any, I live in Seattle, too much rain probably. I couldn't get anyone to go to Pirates tonight, I still think the under has a chance. All the Depp anal fanatics got their fill tonight

Hey, I've got a great boxing bet that I'm pondering which is at Pinnacle... I might setup an account there just to play it. After I put money down on it, I'll tell you what it is.

No way that a film could be THAT front loaded, without some type of existing fan base. Know what I mean? I would understand it if all the T3 or Matrix or Xmen fanboys had front loaded a film on the night of it's realease because they were fans, but, a film like this? Doubt it. I don't believe in those crowd reports but they are TOO overwhelmingly positive to ignore. I didn't see a single negative one. Coupled with the fact that the number is really pretty low ($36mil), I think it will certainly go over. I needed this win after last week's loss with T3.
